About The Role

The Buying Manager is directly responsible for managing the buying team, executing the assortment planning, buys and achieving all department KPI’s to ensure OVO’s assortment strategy is brought to life accurately, on time and budget. The Buying Manager is responsible for:

In partnership with the Manager, Merchandise Planning, execute a strategy to support buying forecast, planning, execution and management for products across all categories and channels.

• a full work cycle, creating and maintaining all processes, tools & technology to drive productivity and accuracy.
• to achieve all department key performance indicators (KPI’s), plan, hire & develop a high performing, motivated and engaged team (as needed).
• the team to execute and manage OVO’s product strategy to ensure assortment plans, allocations, size scales and channel distribution achieve company objectives.
• & manage company life cycle events to ensure their success such as inventory counts & warehouse sales.

Accountable to deliver accurate and timely reports, analysis and post mortems, summarizing insights to identify opportunities and support decision making. Ensure data integrity is protected and all records are accurate. Partner cross functionally to understand what drives business at both a corporate and individual store/market level, and stay informed on industry trends and forecasts. Knowledgeable about the industry, stay current and up to date on our competition. Constantly seek to improve our systems, processes, and tools.

Must Haves

• communication and collaboration skills, able to align cross functional teams to achieve a common goal.
• in Microsoft Excel & experience with NetSuite Oracle is an asset.
• years of fashion retail merchandise buying or planning experience.
